Varanasi is a different city by night, as the oppressive heat of the day subsides and gives way to cool evening breezes, families, teenagers, visitors and Varanasi’s older people head down to the banks of the River Ganga to enjoy the weather. Ganga Aarti (an evening prayer) is the most popular prayer along the River Ganga and it takes place at Dashashwamedh Ghat every evening.  It is where a group of priests performs an evening ritualistic prayer to revere Hindu’s famous Lord Shiva, the River Ganga and the whole of the universe.  Because it is so famous and popular, everyone starts arriving very early in order to get a good position to view the spectacle of Ganga Aarti. We take you on a walk along the River Ganga after the Ganga Aarti evening ceremony to help you to witness and take in the different energy of Varanasi. Tours by night can give you a different experience since the hustle of the day subsides and it is more soothing, peaceful and less crowded at night.


Night tours can be enjoyed betbeen 17:00- 21:00. If you have any special requirements, please let us know. We will do our best to assist you!


Cost of night tours for 02 person @ INR 1800/- (extra person @ INR 500/-). Duration of tour: 3 Hrs.

The tour is headed by our experienced & eco-friendly guide who will meet you at your hotel or guesthouse and accompany you on the ghatside walk as well as through the old part of Varanasi. This can include one of the ancient temples & cremation grounds which give you a different experience by night. At the end, your guide will accompany you to a pleasant and comfortable dinner location if this is your wish.

Please Note: Do not carry your important or valuable goods on tour. Photographs are not allowed at the cremation ground and respectable attire is essential.The cost of the dinner and vehicle pickup/drop-off are not included in the cost of this tour.
